Stanley Volunteer Rural Fire Association Customer Spotlight

Posted in Customer Spotlights on August 9, 2017

Stanley Volunteer Rural Fire Association of Stanley, North Dakota was looking for a fire apparatus manufacturer located in the Midwest for an easy bid process. The department first noticed Midwest Fire in the Fire Trader Magazine. The department typically bought used trucks until the department made its first purchase in 2013 from Midwest Fire. Stanley Volunteer Rural Fire Association has since made four more purchases from Midwest Fire.

Some of the notable upgrades of the Midwest Fire Brush Trucks are the extra clearance for off road territories and the bigger water tanks. The department stays busy serving three communities with the trucks going out two to three times a week. Some fires are 20 miles away from town unaccessible to fire hydrants, so they need to take their water supply with them.

“Our first purchase motivator was the price and location close to home. Once we went through the sales process though we kept coming back for the quality and customer service,” said Fire Chief Nick Hysjulien. “We appreciate how great they are to work with on parts and repair. Sometimes it’s as easy as shipping a part, but when it’s not, they send someone from their staff to conduct repairs.”
