In 2011, Ross Township Fire Department was in the market for a new Tanker and attended the FDIC convention in Indianapolis on a mission to visit every fire apparatus manufacturer.

“We were familiar with Midwest Fire’s ads in Fire Trader which initially got our attention. The quality of the trucks is what stood out the most to us at the show. Once we started the sales process Jeff Bowen was very hands on,” said Chief Steve Miller.

The department was so happy with their All-Poly 2000 Gallon Tanker, that they purchased a Quick Attack from Midwest Fire in 2015.

The Midwest Fire trucks help Ross Township Fire Department serve a rural community with no fire hydrants, so the primary purpose is to carry and pump water. The newer vehicles aid in the safety of the fire firefighters because the tank is engineered and set with a low center of gravity making it easier for the truck to maneuver.

The trucks primarily respond to structural fires and offer mutual aid to surrounding townships.

“It was the most pleasant buying experience I’ve had in 39 years. When we took delivery of the truck there were no surprises. We got everything we thought we were going to get,” said Captain Steve Miller.
