When big water is needed, departments need to be ready to arrive with a tanker or tanker-pumper apparatus. Sometimes hydrants aren’t available and added backup is needed, or if you’re on the road to a mutual aid call, being ready with a powerful tanker can make all the difference.

Midwest Fire offers a full line of tankers and tanker/pumper trucks that carry up to 4,000 gallons of water and are built with All-Poly construction. All of our vehicles in the All-Poly Series carry a lifetime warranty on both the tank and body and come at a lower price than conventional aluminum and stainless steel-bodied tankers. A new pumper could cost up to $700,000 with other manufacturers (without all of the features that Midwest Fire has built into our products), whereas we’ve seen departments purchase two of our tanker pumpers for less than that! They’re now equipped with the water power needed for the worst situations.

Particularly for small-town or rural settings (areas prone to brush fires or wildfires) or for those departments that respond to mutual aid calls, it is essential to equip your team with the most water possible. According to the National Interagency Fire Center, there are over 27,000 large fires every year, covering over 1.4 million acres of land in the US. Mutual aid calls have steadily increased each year throughout the US, nearing 1.5 million according to the NFPA.
